主要从事地质灾害及其防治领域的科研与教学工作。重点关注山地灾害发育机理与模式、青藏高原大型滑坡孕育机制、斜坡岩体变形致灾机理等方面的基础研究。主持国家自然科学基金1项、科技部青藏高原二次科考项目子专题1项、西藏自治区重大专项子专题1项、中国博士后科学基金面上资助1项、中央高校基本科研业务费项目1项，发表SCI/EI论文20余篇。学术成果屡次获得日本京都大学防灾研究所的年度优秀嘉奖，获得西藏自治区科学技术奖二等奖1项，获得全国城市与地下空间工程专业青年教师讲课大赛二等奖1项。入选2020年四川省海外高层次留学人才，担任四川省风险科学与应急管理青年学者专委会副会长，担任中国岩石力学与工程学会地面岩石工程专委会委员，担任《西南交通大学学报》《成都理工大学学报（自然科学版）》等期刊青年编委，担任Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering、Catena、Landslides、Construction and Building Materials、Remote Sensing、Bulletin of Engineering Geology and the Environment等国际知名SCI期刊审稿人。
